Security Specialist

J. L. Nick & Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Security Specialist to join its physical security unit. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working in physical security or a related field, with a strong background in enforcing regulations and directives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce regulations and directives to preserve the stability and lawfulness of personnel and visitors
  • Cultivate proactive relationships with property personnel and visitors through positive interactions
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, including fires, medical emergencies, and security breaches
  • Engage adversarial persons through conflict de-escalation and resolution
  • Uphold the requisite skills for assigned protective equipment and tools
  • Control access to properties and facilities through admittance procedures
  • Conduct routine patrols to assess risk and threat levels
  • Manage surveillance systems and security equipment
  • Effectively communicate with local and state government agencies
  • Undertake investigative measures and prepare reports

Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in physical security or a related field
  • Possess or able to obtain a Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms (Preferred)
  • Certified under Pennsylvania Act 235 (Preferred)
  • Valid PA Driver's License with minimal to no violations
  • Ability to maintain a driving record free of violations
  • Ability to be covered under motor vehicle insurance
