Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Recovery Support Professional to join our team at Gaudenzia. As a member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen and process new admissions, ensuring a smooth transition into our treatment programs.
  • Conduct hourly runs and document client movement, maintaining accurate records and providing a structured environment for early recovery.
  • Monitor client sign-out books, coordinate in-house activities, and maintain daily census to ensure client safety and well-being.
  • Conduct client orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings, providing education and support to facilitate recovery.
  • Transport or assist clients to and from medical and/or other appointments, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • Conduct room searches and perform random searches of clients, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Deny access to unauthorized persons, ensuring client safety and security.
  • Supervise, where appropriate, clients taking their medications, providing guidance and support.
  • Perform regular room checks to ensure clients are on floors or in their rooms per program schedule.
  • Follow protocol for reporting unauthorized absences, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Monitor urinalysis/drug screening and breathalyzers, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Tour the facility at regular intervals to check building security and ensure there are no fire or safety hazards.
  • Conduct fire drills and safety checks, ensuring client safety and well-being.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and complete weekly vehicle inspections, maintaining a safe and reliable transportation system.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness and safety through regular inspections of sanitation procedures, including pest control and supply storage.
  • Complete written reports, documentation, and electronic incident reports as required, maintaining accurate and timely records.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems.
  • Basic knowledge of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff, other agencies, and the public.
  • Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds.
