Avionics Technician II

Education and Experience:
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of two (2) years of accredited education in aviation electronics or two (2) years of relevant professional experience is essential, or possession of an avionics certification from a recognized institution along with one (1) year of pertinent work experience.
- Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards and client specifications is required.
- Capability to read and comprehend basic schematics and blueprints is necessary.
Position Objective:
- With minimal oversight, assists in the extraction and installation of avionics electrical components, the creation of wire harnesses, as well as the installation, termination, testing, and functional verification of avionics and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the installation, modification, and assembly of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and related equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, worksheets, and blueprints.
- Keeps accurate logs and records of work performed.
- Completes assignments within designated time frames.
- Ensures that all completed work adheres to relevant regulatory standards and client specifications.
- Conducts thorough checks on all work to guarantee a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
- Adheres to the company’s FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety protocols.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Properly maintains and cares for shop tools and equipment as directed by the Supervisor.
- Engages in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events, etc.).
- Performs other assigned duties as necessary.
Other Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills and general software applications is necessary.
