POSITION TITLE: Avionics Installer II

Position Details:

  • Contract duration of 12 months with potential for extension.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work under minimal supervision to assist in the removal and installation of avionics electrical components, including the fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, and functional testing of avionics/electrical systems.
  • Aid in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring and electrical components according to blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of work performed.
  • Complete assigned tasks within designated time frames.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and customer specifications in all work.
  • Review all work to guarantee defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Adhere to the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety protocols.
  • Keep a clean and organized work environment.
  • Properly maintain and care for shop tools and equipment.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events).

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of two (2) years of accredited training in aviation electronics or two (2) years of relevant work experience, or possession of an avionics certificate with one (1) year of related experience.
  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards and customer specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of relevant software are necessary.
