About the Role:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of all manufacturing activities to meet schedule requirements safely. They supervise hourly coordinators and production employees, evaluating and coaching employees to improve performance. The Production Supervisor is also expected to actively support the SQDCME Scorecard initiatives (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale, and Environment) in their respective area.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the process and employees engaged in the manufacturing of products within assigned departments and shifts to meet schedule attainment goals
  • Develop and execute production plans to achieve departmental and plant goals for all SQDCME metrics
  • Complete daily production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplish work results and establish priorities
  • Achieve manufacturing results by appropriately managing labor based on work requirements and communicating clear job expectations
  • Develop, direct, and manage production employees and train them to properly utilize all equipment and tools
  • Coach and counsel employees while coordinating and enforcing process controls, company policies, programs, and procedures
  • Promote a clean, safe work environment throughout the facility
  • Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Consistently update and maintain Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) and complete required audits
  • Lead, promote, and support continuous improvement activities, including the ECO System
  • Coordinate and support training and onboarding for all new employees
  • Develop hourly coordinator and employee cross-training plans and maintain skills matrices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Technology
  • Years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to identify OSHA compliance issues and control of hazards
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop direct reports
  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Kronos, ADP, SAP, and other business software/systems preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
