Family Support Coordinator

The Arc of Greater New Orleans is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing home-based and community-based family service coordination services to our participants and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized Family Service Plans with families in a timely manner
  • Maintain regular monthly contact with participants and families, with quarterly face-to-face visits
  • Coordinate continuity of care and investigate alternative resources to meet the needs of our participants
  • Assist families in identifying needs, provide disability information, and coordinate various services to link them to service delivery systems
  • Promote the development of provider resources where services are incomplete or nonexistent
  • Enhance the skills and abilities of participants and their families in procuring services to meet their needs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human service-related field
  • Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred
  • Ability to show empathy and understanding toward and protect the confidentiality of children and families
