Key Responsibilities:


The Recreational Activities Coordinator is an unlicensed support role that operates under the guidance of the Activity Supervisor and the Registered Nurse.

This position is responsible for organizing and implementing recreational and engagement programs tailored for the long-term care unit.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, along with one year of relevant experience for new hires.

A current Certified Nursing Assistant certification, or experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant or Recreation Therapist is preferred.


A minimum of one year of prior experience in an acute care hospital or a social or recreational program within a healthcare environment is essential.

Previous experience as a Recreational Activities Coordinator in a Subacute setting is advantageous.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained.
