The annual base salary range for this position reflects a nationwide market range and encompasses a broad spectrum of salaries for this role across the country.
The actual salary will be influenced by various factors, including the role's scope, complexity, and location; the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience; and other employment conditions.
As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees may also qualify for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range

What Is the Opportunity?
Inland Marine provides coverage for business properties that are mobile or require unique valuation.
Coverage extends to properties owned or in a business's care related to construction, transportation, fine art, and renewable energy.
The Account Executive Officer (AEO), Inland Marine will collaborate with agents and brokers to offer coverage for new and renewal business based on client needs.
This role is recognized as a technical resource. As an AEO, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and adept at building relationships both internally and externally to achieve results.Your capability to independently evaluate complex risks and market our products in challenging environments will enhance the profitability and success of Travelers.
What Will You Do?Oversee the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned portfolio.
Underwrite and skillfully negotiate intricate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners within the business unit and across the organization to create sales strategies and identify cross-selling opportunities.
Establish and nurture relationships with external partners by regularly meeting with agents and brokers to promote and sell Travelers products, aiming to write and retain accounts in line with our risk appetite.
Travel for such meetings is required.Identify and seize new business opportunities utilizing consultative marketing and sales techniques.
Independently formulate and execute agency sales plans and frequently collaborate with your Managing Director (MD) to develop regional/group sales strategies.
May assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Bachelor's degree.
Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience with a focus on inland marine.
Extensive knowledge of inland marine products, the regulatory landscape, and the local insurance market.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges and assess available information to make timely decisions aligned with our risk appetite.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively in challenging situations with agents and brokers.CPCU designation.
What is a Must Have?
Four years of underwriting experience.
