Job Overview

Trust Counsel PL, a rapidly expanding law firm dedicated to serving families and businesses, is seeking a Client-Oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team.

This position requires working closely with our estate planning attorneys and the Associate/Director of Planning. The selected candidate will establish a rapport with clients from the moment they engage with our firm, acting as their primary contact throughout the representation process.

This is an in-office role with long-term career advancement opportunities.

Compensation:

$50,000 - $75,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and assess spreadsheets and documents to ensure alignment with client specifications
  • Address client inquiries and confirm essential details
  • Utilize specialized software to draft various estate planning legal documents, including trusts, wills, codicils, ancillary documents, real estate deeds, affidavits, and other necessary paperwork
  • Design and present comprehensive estate plans, children’s protection plans, and corporate binders to clients
  • Handle corporate formations and maintain entity compliance
  • Prepare EIN authorization and SS4 Forms, and secure EINs
  • Facilitate the signing ceremony and notarize all relevant documents
  • Assist clients with asset titling and naming
  • Manage various databases and software applications
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, sound judgment, professional appearance, and a positive attitude
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning paralegal work
  • Proven ability to work with multiple databases (e.g., Clio, Wealth Counsel) and various software platforms
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A motivated work ethic and the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • A responsible demeanor and professional attitude
