Program Overview
The Cal State San Bernardino Reentry Initiative (CSRI) is a holistic educational program aimed at assisting parolees in their reintegration into society within the Inland Empire area. Through a comprehensive array of services, CSRI is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of each parolee, thereby enhancing community safety, disrupting the cycle of incarceration, and minimizing the likelihood of reoffending.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with a standard schedule from 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday, along with occasional evening and Saturday commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized employment-readiness evaluations and formulate tailored employment strategies for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress within the database.
- Gather and assess employment statistics, analyze retention rates, and produce internal reports.
- Lead job preparation, retention, and financial literacy workshops, as well as engage in community outreach events.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with community organizations to create employment and training opportunities.
- Oversee job preparation and computer skills training resources.
- Provide referrals and support services for clients, including coordinating vocational and educational training.
- May include receptionist, clerical duties, and customer service tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year of experience in job development OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of job development experience.
- Candidates must demonstrate proactivity and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. The ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders is required. Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Suite, email, and internet applications, is necessary.
