Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tank Cleaning Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in hydro blasting, chemical cleaning, and hydro excavation techniques. They will be responsible for performing various fieldwork tasks related to environmental services, industrial cleaning, vacuuming, tank cleaning, waste packaging and disposal, site demolition, emergency spill response, and site cleanup projects.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a variety of field operations, including hydro blasting, catalyst handling, chemical cleaning, vacuum services, sewer truck operation, tank cleaning, dewatering, and other assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a professional and safe work environment at all times.
  • Clean, repair, and paint bulk tanks to ensure optimal condition.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on pumps and meters. Ensure the cleanliness of work areas and equipment after completion of tasks.
  • Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct quality checks to verify that tanks and equipment are in good working order before delivery.
  • Contribute to timely completion of tank orders. Promote a culture of safety through personal actions and work habits. Report all accidents, near misses involving yourself, company vehicles, or other personnel to your supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and the general work area before commencing any job. Inform your supervisor of any deficiencies that could lead to accidents, injuries, or productivity loss.
  • Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to organize and manage the Tank Department operations.
  • Be available for on-call duty and respond to emergency/spill cleanup service calls as required.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to respond to emergency/spill cleanup service calls 24/7 when required.
  • Successfully pass a background check in accordance with industry standards.
  • Possess a TWIC card or the ability to obtain one.
  • Pass a hair follicle and urine drug screen.
  • Demonstrate strong motivation, effective communication skills with colleagues and management, and a collaborative work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, and thrive in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Prior experience working on pumps and pressure testing tanks is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in general warehouse labor.
  • Experience operating forklifts.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
