Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tank Cleaning Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing hydro blasting and chemical cleaning work, as well as executing fieldwork encompassing environmental services, industrial cleaning, and vacuuming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform labor and helper functions as directed for all services provided by the division, including hydro blasting, catalyst handling, chemical cleaning, vacuum, and sewer truck operating.
  • Work in a professional, safe manner and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Clean and recondition bulk tanks, including repair and painting.
  • Build and repair pumps and meters, and clean up work area and equipment after completion.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company policy and procedures consistently.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure tank and equipment are in good operating condition prior to delivery.
  • Ensure timeliness of tank orders is met and promote safety through own actions and work habits.
  • Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area prior to starting any job.
  • Work productively without constant supervision and contribute to the organization and effective running of the Tank Department.
  • Be available for on-call and respond to spill clean-up service calls.
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to respond to emergency/spill clean-up service calls 24/7.
  • Pass a background check in accordance with plant/refinery standards.
  • Hold a TWIC card or be able to acquire one.
  • Pass hair follicle and urine drug screen.
  • Be motivated, able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management, and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to promote teamwork, be a self-starter, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Prior experience working on pumps and pressure testing tanks is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of prior warehouse general labor experience is required.
  • Prior experience operating forklifts is also preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds.
  • Ability to work at high elevations.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature and weather conditions.
