Job Title: Senior Reliability Engineer

At Intelsat US LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability of our products and systems.

Your Impact

As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining departmental methodologies, systems, and practices that meet organizational and customer requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential reliability risks, and provide expert guidance on reliability engineering principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support product realization efforts by collaborating with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure that products meet reliability requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the xFRACAS system, including running weekly Failure Review Board meetings with suppliers.
  • Run internal Pull Review Board meetings with the Tech Ops team to determine if product replacements are predicted failures or NFFs.
  • Develop and implement reliability analysis methods, including statistical analysis using Weibull++ and Minitab.
  • Work closely with Hardware Engineering and suppliers on failure analysis to understand root cause and recommend design/component decisions.
  • Present monthly reliability metrics, RCCA, and improvement plan updates to customers.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, or industrial engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing engineering, and/or supplier chain.
  • 3+ years of experience working within an ISO 9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving background, including DMAIC, 8D, and Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods.
