Job Title: General Liability Claims Adjuster

TransGlobal Adjusting Corp, a subsidiary of Brunswick Companies, is seeking a skilled General Liability Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a General Liability Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and settling claims within client account specifications, with a focus on litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate liability and settle claims in accordance with company policies and client instructions.
  • Identify opportunities to transfer client's claims to third parties and negotiate tender acceptance.
  • Establish contact with clients, claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Recognize potential insurance coverage questions and elevate for coverage determinations.
  • Provide written summaries of claim facts, liability, damages, demand, liens, and recommendations for claim disposition.
  • Coordinate the handling of complex claims, including the use of experts and attorneys.
  • Secure budgets for outside experts and audit fees of independent adjusters, appraisers, defense experts, attorneys, and other vendors.
  • Communicate settlements and reserve increases to clients and insurers as required.
  • Prepare and present status reports to clients and insurers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years experience in claims adjusting, including two years of litigation experience.
  • Adjusting licenses in all operating states is preferred.
  • Professional designations, such as AIC or CPCU, and a bachelor's degree are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills, with the ability to interpret contracts and insurance policies.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and work efficiently in multiple databases, including those of clients.
