Avionics Supply Chain Engineer II

At Blue Origin, we're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. As an Avionics Supply Chain Engineer II, you'll play a critical role in supporting multiple Blue Origin facilities, focusing on the Blue Engines program in an avionics hardware role. You'll work with a diverse engineering team to manufacture and deliver critical avionics hardware for rocket engines and space projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Resolve technical issues and sustain suitable manufacturing processes.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks at suppliers, engage in failure investigations and RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) as needed.
  • Engage with avionics colleagues to maintain corrective actions and schedules.
  • Review and ensure compliance with statements of work (SOW) and provide DFX feedback.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred).
  • 3+ years of avionics hardware manufacturing experience on the job.
  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals of aerospace avionics hardware.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in aerospace avionics/electronics hardware manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Practical RCCA process knowledge (DMAIC preferred), Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in SOW generation and compliance.
  • Experience performing supplier assessments and non-conformance/RCCA support.
