ManTech is currently in search of a dedicated and skilled Systems Engineer. In this capacity, you will evaluate user requirements, operational concept documents, and overarching system architectures to formulate comprehensive system requirements specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate user needs, operational concept documents, and high-level system designs to create system requirements specifications.
  • Assess system requirements and spearhead design and development efforts.
  • Assist users in articulating requirements, suggest alternative solutions, and conduct feasibility assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, ensuring seamless incorporation of new plans and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and design documentation.
  • Facilitate system development and implementation planning through the preparation of system engineering management plans and integration and testing plans.
  • Engage with government representatives regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and address associated challenges.
  • Hold ultimate accountability for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering domain.
  • Communicate effectively with program personnel, government officials, and senior management.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Linux and Windows environments, ensuring the technical integrity of the system baseline throughout its lifecycle.
  • Analyze and resolve intricate issues related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.
  • Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems, troubleshoot, and maintain network components while implementing enhancements for reliability and performance.
  • Design, deploy, and manage virtual environments (Docker, OpenShift).
  • Install and configure infrastructure-related software such as DNS, McAfee EPO Servers, CENTRIFY, and LDAP.
  • Exhibit the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues where documentation may be insufficient.

Experience Levels: This position accommodates multiple levels of expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
  • Proven experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering initiatives is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution. An additional four (4) years of experience may substitute for the degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Ansible, Salt, Python, and Trellix (formerly McAfee Enterprise) is preferred.
  • Experience with advanced Linux scripting, Linux servers, CentOS 7 and 8, and Red Hat 8 is beneficial.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
