Job Opportunity

Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled Cost Manager to join their San Francisco Bay area team. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a great team and work with well-known, prestigious clients on a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall commercial status of a project, ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting at a project and portfolio level.
  • Own and manage the change process, negotiating change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with numerous parties, including the general contractor, owner's representatives, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage forensic reviews of cost and conduct valuations on high-value, time-critical projects.
  • Extract data from complex spreadsheets and transform it to fit operational needs.
  • Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Manage cost impact and contingency management, as well as commitment tracking logs.
  • Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate value engineering sessions with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a construction cost management role within the construction industry.
  • College and/or post-graduate degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • RICS accredited or working towards is valuable, but not required.
  • Hybrid In-Office and Onsite working is required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry legal and technical matters, such as different procurement routes and contract types.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $120K-$140K per year. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
