Senior Cost Manager

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a great team and work with well-known, prestigious clients on a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the overall commercial status of a project, ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting at a project and portfolio level.
- Communicate effectively with numerous parties, including the general contractor, the owner's representatives, and external stakeholders.
- Manage the change process, negotiate change orders, and conduct forensic reviews of cost and valuations on high-value, time-critical projects.
- Extract data from various sources, transforming it to fit operational needs to aid the project and portfolio as a whole.
- Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
- Manage cost impact/contingency management and commitment tracking logs.
- Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate value engineering sessions with stakeholders.
- Provide commercial input to design optioneering and value engineering exercises.
- Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead negotiations on behalf of the client to drive fair contract prices.
- Experience working in a construction cost management role within the construction industry.
- College and/or post-graduate degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
- RICS accredited or working towards is valuable, but not required.
- Hybrid In-Office and Onsite working is required.
- Experience of leading cost and commercial management teams on medium or large-sized construction projects of medium to high complexity in the investor developer, corporate occupier, data center, and infrastructure space.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry legal and technical matters, such as different procurement routes and contract types.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
