Lead Cost Management Team at Turner & Townsend Group

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead our Cost Management team in Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of our Real Estate Cost Management team, you will support Developers, Manufacturers, Retail, Health, and Tech clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Cost Management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
  • Pivot between a delivery and management role, taking a lead role in interfacing with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes, developing a detailed understanding of the market and acting as a brand ambassador.
  • Take responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients, attending relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities.
  • Support existing key client relationships, lead proposals for new work, and be responsible for the financial management of commissions.
  • Undertake staff performance reviews, set a clear strategy and ambition for the team, and identify, coach, and mentor talent to realize their potential.
Requirements:
  • SME in Quantity Surveying with experience in the construction industry and a good understanding of the role of a cost consultant.
  • Effectively able to pivot between a delivery and management role, with a graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering.
  • RICS or equivalent accreditation, proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications, and strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency using spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, drive to be proactive and self-motivated, and the tenacity and ambition to inject value and create solutions.
