Job Title: General Construction Superintendent

Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a highly skilled General Construction Superintendent to join our team.

Job Summary:

The General Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of projects, ensuring compliance with project plans and schedules. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement project plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Lead and manage project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Coordinate and oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates, cost tracking, and quality control.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction, preferably in Federal/DOD work.
  • OSHA 30 Certificate and knowledge of construction management principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
  • First Aid/CPR certification and current security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Federal government or DOD experience in construction.
  • Estimating experience, including RS Means.
Work Environment:

The General Construction Superintendent will work in a modern office setting, with occasional travel required. The role requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The General Construction Superintendent will be responsible for hiring and supervising direct reports.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
