Position Overview:
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Weapons Engineer to contribute to innovative projects in the field of defense technology. This role is based in Melbourne, Florida, and requires a candidate with a strong technical background and a passion for engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and enhance electrical systems, components, and applications through design and testing.
- Manage requirements, system integration, and develop test plans for weapon systems across all phases of development.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and technicians to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare detailed specifications, statements of work, and interface control documents.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or a Master's Degree in a related discipline.
- Active, In-Scope DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher, granted/renewed within the last 6 years.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs (SAP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with weapons and payload systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of governing standards, including UAI Platform-Store ICD, MIL-STD-1553, and MIL-STD-1760.
- Active Secret clearance with access to Special Programs.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $75,300 and $112,900, reflecting the candidate's experience and qualifications.
