Job Summary

The Purchasing Assistant will support the Purchasing Department with various clerical tasks, including maintaining vendor packets and qualifications, requesting pricing, and revising features lists. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and six months to one year of related experience or training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor information and qualifications
  • Request and process pricing and load price changes
  • Revise and update features lists to ensure accuracy
  • Update project vendor lists to reflect changes
  • Pricing and distributing design changes to ensure timely completion
  • Ensure all plans are up-to-date and in stock
  • Coordinate and maintain organized office space
  • Process purchase orders, change orders, and notices to proceed
  • Research and resolve invoice or purchase order issues
  • Prepare bid packages for procurement purposes

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
