Project Engineer - Land Development Specialist

ESP Associates is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our North Charleston team. As a key member of our land development team, you will be responsible for designing and managing projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform civil site/land development design, permitting, and construction observation on a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal projects.
  • Design land development projects within Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Prepare technical design calculations associated with land development projects.
  • Review and prepare technical documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Assist in the management of project schedules and staff.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, review agencies, and contractors.
  • Attend meetings and provide site visits and field reports.
  • Develop strong relationships with team members and provide training/mentoring.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • 6+ years of qualifying civil engineering design and project management experience.
  • PE Licensure, actively pursuing, or ability to obtain licensure in South Carolina preferred.
  • Advanced design skills in software programs such as Civil 3D, ICPR, SedCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
