Job Title: Mental Health Therapist 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist 2 to join our team at Marion County. As a Mental Health Therapist 2, you will provide assessment and treatment services to individuals and families with complex needs and diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and transition-age youth in the Woodburn and surrounding communities.
  • Conduct intake medical mental health assessments, including screening for A/D issues.
  • Document services to meet contract, administrative rule, and billing requirements.
  • Provide consultation, training, and orientation regarding mental health and co-occurring disorders treatment to team members, student interns, and other professionals.
  • Assist clients and families with accessing community supports and resources.
  • Assist with making referrals for services.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a behavioral science field, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon.
  • Mental Health Therapist 2 Only: In addition to the educational requirements above, the Mental Health Therapist 2 must have at least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LCSW, CSWA, or eligible for LCSW licensure.
Working Conditions:

This is a safety-sensitive/special needs position. Final candidates selected for this position will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including testing for marijuana.

This assignment is represented by a union.

This is a part-time position, which is eligible for overtime.

Typical Work Schedule: 5-day/8-hour with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program.
