About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist 2 to join our team at Marion County. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services team, you will provide assessment and treatment services to individuals and families with complex needs and diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and transition-age youth in the Woodburn and surrounding communities.
  • Conduct intake medical mental health assessments, including screening for substance use disorders.
  • Document services to meet contract, administrative rule, and billing requirements.
  • Provide consultation, training, and orientation regarding mental health and co-occurring disorders treatment to team members, student interns, and other professionals.
  • Assist clients and families with accessing community supports and resources.
  • Make referrals for services as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a behavioral science field.
  • OR second-year graduate students waived as QMHPs by the Oregon Health Authority.
  • At least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field (for Mental Health Therapist 2 only).
  • Licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers, or credentialed/registered through the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon (MHACBO) as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) within the first 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LCSW, CSWA, or eligible for LCSW licensure.
  • Qualified candidates will be eligible for licensure supervision if hired.
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive/special needs position. Final candidates selected for this position will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen, including testing for marijuana.

This position is represented by a union and is eligible for overtime.

The typical work schedule is 5 days/8 hours with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program.
