Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Eden, North Carolina. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in conducting procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
  • Conduct CT scans, manipulate images according to protocols, and perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
  • Administer oral and IV contrast according to protocols, ensuring safe and proper injection procedures.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of PACS and transmit images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and PACS.
  • Verify patient identification and ensure accurate demographic information on PACS images.
  • Perform other duties as required, including precepting new employees and students.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
