Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using CT equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate and safe care.
  • Operate CT scanners to obtain high-quality images, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Administer contrast media and perform other procedures as needed to support diagnostic imaging.
  • Transfer images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligibility.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
Work Environment

This is a per diem position with a variable schedule. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
