About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history
  • Conduct CT scans and manipulate images according to protocols
  • Administer oral and IV contrast as needed
  • Transfer images to PACS and verify transmission
  • Perform other duties as required, including precepting new employees and students

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually
