Staff Accountant Job Description

This role requires the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements, as well as assistance with budgets and variance analysis. The Staff Accountant will collaborate with various departments and management to resolve problems and ensure the integrity of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and communicate results for multiple operating companies.
  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve variances in general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and monitor performance versus budget and other objectives.
  • Prepare supporting account reconciliations monthly for balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare quarterly/annual supporting tax and other compliance documentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Associate degree in accounting or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role preparing financial statements preferred.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skill, specifically Excel.
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
