The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates is seeking a dedicated full-time Member Relations Specialist to join our Member Engagement Team. The Member Relations Specialist will manage daily interactions with credit unions across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, nurturing relationships with both member and non-member credit unions. This role includes facilitating Association Services through LSCU and promoting products and partnerships via LEVERAGE. A comprehensive understanding of credit union challenges, financial performance metrics, and LSCU & Affiliates programs, products, and services is crucial. Additionally, the position encompasses responsibilities for Chapters and the Young Professionals Group within our tri-state area, along with supporting other initiatives within the Member Engagement and Business Development Departments.

As a Member Relations Specialist, you will collaborate with the Vice President of Member Engagement to assist credit unions and stimulate membership growth. Key responsibilities include conducting in-person meetings with non-affiliated credit unions and associate members, participating in Chapter meetings and Young Professionals Groups to strategize for professional development and community initiatives, acting as a liaison to member credit unions, facilitating planning sessions and training for credit union boards, promoting Association-sponsored events, developing solutions to enhance membership services, generating leads, providing referrals for Business Development Consultants, and updating Salesforce with pertinent information.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate's degree in business administration, marketing, communication, psychology, sociology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  2. Four years of experience in a communications, marketing, or non-profit association role.
  3. Experience in financial services.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  5. Knowledge of the history, development, and philosophy of the credit union movement.

Work Schedule:

As a Member Relations Specialist, you will travel extensively throughout Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, primarily by car and occasionally by plane. This position is fully remote, allowing you to set your schedule to align with credit union needs. A valid driver's license is required.
