Position Overview
The Veterinarian plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to our patients while fostering strong relationships with their owners. This position involves conducting physical examinations, performing surgeries, and providing dental care, with a strong emphasis on client communication and education. Key Responsibilities
- Build rapport with clients to understand their needs; perform thorough physical examinations and medical procedures while ensuring minimal stress for the patient.
- Communicate examination findings and provide a clear diagnosis; develop and present treatment plans, educating clients on preventive health care and nutrition.
- Maintain accurate medical records and logs, assisting colleagues in patient follow-up and management.
- Stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in Continuing Education opportunities.
- Support the development of the veterinary team to ensure high-quality care and exceptional client service.
- Represent the hospital positively within the professional community and to the public.
- Provide compassionate care, treating every client and patient with the utmost respect.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the applicable state.
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly attitude.
- Ability to make informed decisions and communicate effectively with team members.
- Respectful and willing to collaborate with clients and their pets.
- Team-oriented individual committed to upholding high standards of veterinary practice.
- Experience in surgery is advantageous.
