Job Title: Audio Engineer

SAE Institute is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Engineer to join our team as a Full-Time Instructor. As an Audio Engineer, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the art and science of audio production, recording, and post-production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver high-quality audio engineering courses, including lectures, labs, and workshops.
  • Provide one-on-one instruction and guidance to students, helping them to develop their skills and achieve their goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, incorporating new techniques and tools into your teaching and curriculum.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and other educational programs.
  • Participate in academic advising, student mentoring, and other activities that support student success and retention.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the audio engineering industry, with a strong background in recording, mixing, and post-production.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard audio software and hardware, including Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Ableton Live.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching audio engineering courses or workshops.
  • Publication credits in audio engineering or music technology.
  • Professional certifications in audio engineering or music technology.
Working Conditions:

The Audio Engineer will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent deadlines and a high level of creativity and innovation required. The position will involve working with students, faculty, and staff, as well as collaborating with industry professionals and partners.
