We are seeking a personable Front Desk Agent to deliver our renowned service. From welcoming guests during check-in to addressing ongoing inquiries and requests, our Front Desk Agents are essential in crafting an unforgettable guest experience.

Silver Lake Pool & Inn is located in the vibrant neighborhood of Silver Lake, Los Angeles. With 54 well-appointed guest rooms and suites, a serene pool deck for relaxation, and our lively outdoor dining venue, Marco Polo, Silver Lake Pool & Inn embodies the spirit of the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage guest interactions, including leading the check-in/check-out process, handling billing, confirming contact details, and addressing inquiries throughout their stay.
  • Serve as an informed guide, ready to share extensive knowledge about the hotel, its amenities, and the surrounding area.
  • Communicate in a friendly and positive manner to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere among colleagues and provide an exceptional experience for guests.
  • Establish memorable connections with hotel guests in accordance with our service standards.
  • Bring clarity and personality to the registration process and guest arrivals, actively listening to feedback and managing folios.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and other guest inquiries promptly and courteously.
  • Input guest information and payments into hotel management software systems.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure a seamless experience for all guests.
  • Proactively identify guest needs and find ways to exceed their expectations, encouraging repeat visits.
  • Maintain attention to detail, whether addressing a misplaced item or assisting a guest in need.
  • Enforce established policies and procedures with professionalism.
  • Effectively communicate guest requests or issues to relevant departments, conducting safety and cleanliness checks.
  • Perform safety duties and adhere to established protocols during emergencies.
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable operation for guests and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Positive attitude and energetic demeanor.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a strong focus on teamwork.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Basic arithmetic knowledge.
  • Proficient in data entry and information retrieval on computer systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum two years of experience in guest reception or a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to provide clear communication and directions.
  • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain organization.
  • Calm and clear-thinking under pressure, with good judgment in problem-solving.
  • Ability to follow directions thoroughly and understand guest service needs.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
