Job Summary

This Electronics Engineer, AST, Avionic Systems position is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in systems engineering principles and hardware-software integration. The selected candidate will lead technical project teams and resolve complex technical issues across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Author and/or review Imagery Concept of Operations, System Requirement Documents, gap assessments, and trade studies.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the Center, Agency, private industry, and International Partners.
  • Define and coordinate unit level to end-to-end test campaigns and test facility needs to verify and validate imagery systems within and across programs.
  • Guide test objectives for lunar surface integration and imagery testing in NASA analog campaigns.
  • Contribute to Moon to Mars/Artemis-level Requirements Analysis Cycle and Architecture Analysis Cycle.
  • Lead analysis for imagery within assigned programs and projects.
  • Support cross-program sync reviews.
  • Identify, communicate, and track imagery risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence, and innovation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Mathematics, Life Science, or Computer Science.
  • One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level.
  • Providing subject matter expertise in systems engineering principles and hardware-software integration.
  • Leading technical project teams and resolving complex technical issues across multiple stakeholders.
  • Authoring or developing requirements and verification statements.
  • Designing, manufacturing, or operating imagery systems.
  • Performing as a system manager, team lead, operations lead, or project manager responsible for imagery systems.
