Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop avionics systems that meet the requirements of NASA's space exploration programs
  • Develop and implement radiation hardness assurance strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of avionics systems in space
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate avionics systems into larger spacecraft and mission architectures
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to address technical issues and improve system performance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in avionics systems design and development
  • Strong knowledge of radiation effects in microelectronics and avionics systems
  • Experience with radiation hardness assurance strategies and techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with LabVIEW programming and test setup design
  • Knowledge of IPC J-STD-001, NASA-STD-8739, and ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards
  • Experience with cable design for space applications
