About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Agent at SFO. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our passengers, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner over the phone and in person.
  • Flight Announcements: Announce both incoming and outbound flights to ensure passengers are aware of their flight status.
  • Transaction Processing: Handle credit card and personal check transactions with accuracy and properly account for all collections and conduct the appropriate airline close-out procedures.
  • Baggage Handling: Accept and process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs. and placed on conveyor belts.
  • Airport Operations: Operate jetways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors.
  • Information Provision: Use airline computer systems to provide flight arrival and departure information, ticketing and flight boarding documents, lost or damaged baggage documentation, and cargo tracking information.
  • Passenger Support: Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
  • Independent Work: Work independently without direct supervision.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Education: Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, and a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Language: Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Communication: Possess good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality in person and via telephone.
  • Computer Skills: Possess entry-level computer skills.
  • Background Check: Pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check, including fingerprinting and a criminal history record check required by federal law.
  • Availability: Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
