Project Management Professional – Industrial Construction Projects

This position involves the comprehensive coordination, management, and oversight of industrial construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients, design consultants, subcontractors, and engineers to facilitate informed decision-making on behalf of the project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure project execution aligns with contract documents, design specifications, and industry standards while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost/change order management and accounting records.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure effective communication and incorporation of necessary specifications into project plans.
  • Monitor project schedules, staffing requirements, invoices, and submittals, providing regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Establish activity sequences for contractors and guide subcontractors in planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with all parties to address and resolve issues related to work procedures and design challenges.
  • Uphold safety standards and regulations on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety codes during construction.
  • Work effectively with others to deliver high-quality results within the established timeline and budget.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in industrial construction projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in collaborating with manufacturing clients across various environments, particularly in construction settings for chemical and advanced material manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and flow diagrams.
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction documentation and their approval processes.
  • Hands-on experience in process construction, including equipment installation and utilities.
  • Knowledge of industrial building projects encompassing civil, concrete, steel, MEP, and FP disciplines is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to contributing to a collaborative work culture in the construction engineering sector.
Supervisory Role

This role includes overseeing and managing the activities of process contractors on-site, ensuring the successful installation of project components.

Work Environment

The position requires working in a field office environment, facilitating communication and planning while being exposed to ongoing construction activities.

Physical Requirements

Regular duties include sitting, talking, and hearing, with occasional requirements to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or lift up to 25 pounds.

Position Type

This is a full-time role with variable hours depending on project needs, which may include extended hours.

Travel Expectations

Occasional domestic travel may be necessary for meetings with contractors and vendors to monitor project progress and quality.
