Community Advocate Role

The Real Escape From The Sex Trade is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Advocate to join our team. This role plays a vital part in providing trauma-informed services to survivors of sex trafficking.
About the Role:
- Build trusting relationships with individuals who are involved in or exiting the sex trade
- Assist clients in prioritizing self-identified goals and develop plans to achieve them
- Provide case management, referrals, and support services to accommodate client goal plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an active case load of 10-15 individuals, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed
- Use tools such as motivational interviewing to deliver trauma-informed services
- Support clients in exploring emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, promoting holistic well-being
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including law enforcement, government agencies, and local partners, to ensure seamless service delivery
- Model REST values in every encounter, fostering trust, belonging, and empowerment among clients and colleagues
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience working with vulnerable populations
- Bachelor's degree in social services or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated success supervising and leading effective teams
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and professional skills
Compensation and Benefits:
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $27.00/hour, commensurate with experience. Additionally, benefits include 15 days of vacation, 10 days of sick leave, 10 holidays, 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision premiums, one paid mental health hour per week, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
