Job Title: Intermediate Accountant

Choptank Community Health System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our team. As an Intermediate Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring daily treasury functions, purchase requisitions, and expense management. You will also be responsible for maintaining capital outlay/fixed assets records, preparing bank reconciliations, and grant accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and review purchase requisitions and expense management transactions to ensure proper month-end close.
  • Review and approve daily treasury workflow, including third-party/patient payments and non-system receipts.
  • Prepare daily electronic deposit reports.
  • Prepare and maintain capital outlay/fixed assets records.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain grant expenditure worksheets.
  • Support the Finance Department as needed for regulatory and grant reporting, annual audits, and budget.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in auditing, accounting, or grants management.
  • OR master's degree in business, accounting, or finance with 1-3 years' experience in auditing, accounting, or grants management.
  • CPA preferred (Maryland).
