About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Data, Analytics, and Institutional Research (DAIR) team at the University of North Texas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform strategic decision-making and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain data visualizations and reports using SAS Business Intelligence tools (SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Statistics)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
  • Analyze and interpret complex data to inform strategic decision-making and drive business outcomes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with functional and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g. Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a related field (e.g. business intelligence, data analysis, analytics)
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and SAS programming
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience working in an institutional research setting
  • Basic working knowledge of student data sources (e.g. financial aid, admissions, student records)
