Event Coordinator Job Opportunity

At Loews Arlington Hotel, we're looking for an organized and detail-focused Event Coordinator to join our Meetings & Events team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service.

About the Position:

  • Support the coordination of events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, agendas, and other necessary materials.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, both digital and physical.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues to ensure event success.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve event planning and execution.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating logistics, transportation, and other event-related arrangements.
  • Managing event budgets, timelines, and deadlines.
  • Collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and responding to client inquiries and concerns.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and industry professionals.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of event planning or coordination experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
