Job Summary

In this role as a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care by performing delegated basic patient care services. Working under the supervision of our registered nurses, you will assist with implementing nursing care plans and provide direct and indirect patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other relevant data.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, using walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs as needed.
  • Participate in specimen collection for diagnostic or waived tests, ensuring accuracy of labels and timely transfer of specimens.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination, while maintaining proper body mechanics.
  • Serve as a Monitor/Telemetry Tech as needed, engaging in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
