Key Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is to procure recycled materials while balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure optimal service levels for internal stakeholders.

Essential Duties:

  • Source recycled plastics from various suppliers, considering total landed costs.
  • Address quality concerns and implement corrective measures in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Manage inventory levels of recycled materials to align with production needs.
  • Support the strategic planning for recycled materials procurement.
  • Forecast purchasing requirements in terms of volume and expenditure.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers to foster strong relationships.
  • Coordinate with production facilities regarding changes in schedules, delivery challenges, and quality matters.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Research and onboard new suppliers as needed.
  • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms for recycled materials.
  • Develop and maintain relevant reporting tools, including forecasts and inventory reports.

Educational Background:

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods and may involve travel as necessary.
