Job Title: AEM Front End Lead

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled AEM Front End Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Enterprise Platform Services (EPS) team, you will be responsible for leading the development of front-end applications using JavaScript and its core principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of front-end applications using JavaScript and its core principles.
  • Define and maintain technical architecture for Frontend applications using any JavaScript library/framework.
  • Drive quality excellence and ensure application works well across browsers and devices.
  • Manage and lead a team of front-end developers.
  • Define and maintain team operating standards like issue tracking, time reporting, etc.
  • Drive team engagement and enablement by encouraging and driving community activities within your team.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in the field of Web Application Development and expertise with component-driven architectures.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in Frontend application development using JavaScript and its core principles.
  • Proficient understanding of any one of the JavaScript library/frameworks like React JS, Vue JS, and Angular.
  • Proficient understanding of JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Experience with newer specifications of ECMAScript & Typescript.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Good knowledge on Core web fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Good Knowledge of RWD frameworks like Bootstrap and Material UI.
  • Good Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS.
  • Experience with popular Adobe Experience Manager Workflows.
  • Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and Polyfills.
  • Working knowledge of mocking frameworks, automated build & unit testing.
  • Experience with a testing framework (Jest/Mocha).
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, Grunt, Gulp, NPM, etc.
  • Good understanding of package managers and able to resolve dependencies.
  • Experience in distributed code repositories such as Git.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal along with problem-solving skills.
