Clinical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to join our Physical Therapy Department at Mankato Clinic. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our team of Physical Therapists.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and assign patients to exam rooms, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
- Take vital signs, including blood pressure, height, and weight measurements, to provide accurate and reliable data.
- Open physical therapy notes and document patient information, including fall risk and portal status.
- Educate patients on exams and answer general questions, promoting patient understanding and satisfaction.
- Maintain patient care, comfort, and safety during transport to and from the exam area, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Complete necessary clerical-administrative tasks as assigned and serve as a backup to the PT front desk, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clerical skills, including the ability to utilize office computers and programs.
- Attention to detail, great teamwork skills, and excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification or obtained within 90 days of start date.
- Any college degree.
- Two or more years of experience working as a Clinical Assistant, EMT, Nursing Assistant, or in direct patient care.
- A general knowledge of medical practice.
- Dedication to patient satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively with all providers, staff, and patients.
