About the Position

We are seeking an experienced municipal leader to serve as the Village Manager of Beverly Hills. As the chief administrative officer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our community.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the enforcement of Village ordinances and regulations.
  • Preparing and managing the Village budget.
  • Serving as a liaison between the Council, staff, and residents.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to address key challenges facing the Village.

You will work closely with the Council, staff, and external stakeholders to promote the Village's interests, foster economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for residents.

Key Challenges

Some of the key challenges you will face include:

  • Upgrading aging water and sewage infrastructure.
  • Retaining public safety personnel.
  • Managing union/labor negotiations.
  • Hiring and retaining a new Finance Director.
  • Improving sidewalk infrastructure throughout the Village.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field, with a master's degree or graduate studies preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of finance, budgeting, and purchasing principles.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of best practices for hiring, training, mentoring, and retention.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary of $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
