About the Role

The Village Manager position requires a seasoned municipal leader who values transparency, collaboration, and strategic planning. As the chief administrator, you will lead the Village government, overseeing the implementation of policies and programs that benefit the community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the enforcement of Village ordinances and regulations.
  • Managing the preparation and execution of the Village budget.
  • Serving as a liaison between the Council, staff, and residents.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to address key challenges facing the Village.

You will work closely with the Council, staff, and external stakeholders to promote the Village's interests, foster economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Economic Development team to promote business growth and development.
  • Working with the Finance Director to prepare and manage the Village budget.
  • Serving as a liaison between the Council and external stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to address key challenges facing the Village.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field, with a master's degree or graduate studies preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of finance, budgeting, and purchasing principles.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of best practices for hiring, training, mentoring, and retention.
Estimated Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary of $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
