Key Responsibilities:- Manage and service an assigned book of business, including gathering data, obtaining quotes, and preparing spreadsheet analysis.
- Act as a liaison with carrier partners to ensure accuracy of carrier contracts.
- Become proficient in all plans and products in the assigned book of business and serve as an internal resource.
- Develop, modify, and finalize professional sales presentations, written communications, and other documents.
- Partner with other teams to ensure client needs are met and actions are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Manage communications from clients regarding renewal inquiries, coordinate with employers, employees, and insurance carriers to verify insurance-related data, and master internal client management systems.
- Negotiate with carriers and other service providers on behalf of clients, identify and assist in developing cross-selling opportunities, and perform insurance policy, coverage, and exposure reviews.
- Handle day-to-day service requests, conduct open enrollment meetings, and develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work.
- Prepare documents and attend client meetings, keep up-to-date on industry developments and practices, and apply and maintain a strong working knowledge of plan designs and industry trends.
- High level of professionalism with a positive attitude.
- Detail-oriented & self-motivated.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Consummate, ethical professional with advanced business acumen.
- Proven collaboration, negotiation, and advanced problem-solving skills.
- State Life and Health Licensed or obtain within 3 months of employment.
- Thorough understanding of benefits and benefits processing (medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, Life, FSA, HSA, HRA, COBRA, etc.).
- Working knowledge of State and Federal Compliance laws.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, specifically MS Office suite.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- 3 or more years of client coordination and/or claims management experience in a broker or carrier organization.
