Job Title: Director, Smart Manufacturing

Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Smart Manufacturing initiative. As the Director, Smart Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital and automation transformation strategy to drive business objectives and improve safety, quality, and efficiency across our global manufacturing base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a digital and automation strategy for manufacturing, aligning with business objectives and industry trends.
  • Translate the strategy into actionable roadmaps and initiatives, ensuring effective execution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Build strategic partnerships and collaborations to drive innovation and digital transformation.
  • Lead the selection of priorities among roadmaps and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in sensors and controls engineering, automation, Industry 4.0 technologies, MES, and business systems.
  • Develop and implement a methodology for manufacturing process monitoring and visual signals, improving quality and efficiency.
  • Apply lean tools and techniques to optimize manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build a world-class team, recruiting, developing, engaging, and retaining top talent.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring proper resource allocation and timely delivery of objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience leading digital and automation programs in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Industry 4.0 or similar professional certification preferred; PMI certification is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge and expertise in industrial controls, digital technology, automation, robotics, machine learning, IIoT, Industry 4.0, data analytics, MES, and business systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, such as ANSI/ISA-95 and ANSI/ISA-88.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvements and measurable results in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated program management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
