Job Summary

The Airport Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the airport operations team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes managing the ramp services, passenger services, and other airport operations functions. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.

Ramp Services Functions:

The Airport Operations Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Loading and unloading of cargo, including mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material
  • Transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft
  • Ramp transfers of cargo where required
  • Receiving, delivering, and physically handling freight and company material
  • Completing forms and messages related to cargo handling

Responsibilities:

The Airport Operations Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing all aspects of airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check-in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights
  • Coordinating with all departments to ensure operational needs are met
  • Acting as a company representative when assigned
  • Reporting to work on a regular and timely basis

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment
  • Ability to handle stress and work with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to:
